We occaisionaly start dogs from our litters for clients that want started dogs. We will housebreak, obedience train, expose the pup to gunshots, water, and birds. We can usually have your pup ready to hunt and retrieve shot birds by the time it is 8-10 months old if we start it's training at 8 weeks. Please contact us for more details and pricing for this service. We do this on a very limited basis to maintain the attention a young pup requires. We can also have full time pro trainers train a dog for you. They start training at 5-6 months and take 4-6 months to have a dog ready for basic hunting or intro hunt tests. These started dogs usually run $2500 and up depending on what level and type/s of training the client desires. We are beginning to keep puppies from litters to train as started dogs. Demand for them peaks as the seasons approach each fall so please do not wait until the seasons are here to try and obtain one as they are gone by then.
